Description

Hydrogen (also called hydrogen gas) is used in industry as a reducing gas, e.g. in furnace soldering, and fuel gas as well as in research and analysis as a carrier gas and instrument gas.

Hydrogen is used for the desulphurization of fuels, which prevents the formation of sulfur dioxide as the fuel is burned. Air Liquide understands the needs of today’s refineries and provides economical solutions for industrial gas and utility requirements.

 As a full-capability over-the-fence hydrogen supplier, we customize our production and recovery solutions to match the volume, pressure and purity required for your operations.

We will evaluate the best means of hydrogen supply and couple it with synthesis gas, cogeneration and steam supply as appropriate. To complete the offer, we provide solutions for carbon dioxide capture and recovery.

Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions designs and constructs large-scale Steam Methane Reformers for customers in the chemical and petrochemical industries. We are able to adapt to a wide range of plant sizes and feedstocks, including natural gas, refinery gases, naphtha, LPG or a mixture of two or more of these gases. In addition, Air Liquide’s portfolio of Lurgi technologies includes technologies for the production of hydrogen, such as auto-thermal, catalytic reforming and gasification.

Used in a fuel cell, hydrogen combines with oxygen from the air to produce electricity, generating water as its only by-product. Air Liquide is present across the entire hydrogen supply chain, from production to storage, distribution and the development of end-user applications – thus helping to drive the widespread use of hydrogen as a clean energy to power materials handling, consumer automobiles and mass transportation.

Our global hydrogen-fueled fleet services are helping move fleets across the globe toward a more efficient, profitable and environmentally responsible means of material handling. We distribute solutions both for the production of energy and for decentralized hydrogen distribution equipment.

Air Liquide can supply Hydrogen H2 to the specifications contained in EN 17124 & ISO 14687-1,-2,-3 for fuel cell & combustion hydrogen.

Air Liquide offers hydrogen as a pure specialty gas, available in two grades. ALPHAGAZ™ 1 grade has 99.999% purity. ALPHAGAZTM 2 grade has 99.9998% purity and is ultra-pure for critical laboratory and analytic applications. Hydrogen in helium or nitrogen balances are also available as FID fuel gases for engine emissions testing applications in the automotive industry and meet Part 86 and 1065 requirements.
